SWACCH BHARAT ABHIYAN

SWACHH BHARAT ABHIYAN

the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan or the Swachh Bharat Mission is a campaign run by the government of India as a massive mass movement to initiate the theme of cleanliness all through India. This campaign was launched in seeking the way to create a Clean India target by 2019. 2nd of October is the birthday of the father of our nation, i.e., Mr. Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, or as we call him as Mahatma Gandhi. Mahatma Gandhi dreamed make India a Clean India and always put his hard efforts towards swachhta in India. This is the reason, why Swachh Bharat Abhiyan was launched on 2nd of October (the birthday of Mahatma Gandhi). To complete this vision of the father of our nation, our respected Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi,
decided to launch this campaign. In March 2017, the government also banned chewing Paan and Gutka to ensure cleanliness in their state.
The aim of this mission is to cover all the rural and urban areas of the country to present this country as an ideal country before the world. The mission has targeted aims eliminating open defecation, converting insanitary toilets to pour flush toilets, eradicating manual scavenging, complete disposal and reuse of all the solid and liquid wastes, bringing behavioural changes to people and motivate health practices, strengthening the cleanliness systems in the urban and rural areas and as well as
creating a user friendly environment for all private sectors interested in investing in India for its cleanliness and maintenance.

This mission has an interesting theme of inviting nine new people by each and every involved people in the campaign and continuing this chain until each and every citizen of this country gets involved in this campaign.
